The Coast to Karoo Transect in the Cederberg investigates the abundance and species diversity of ants and beetles along the altitudinal line. Currently more than 90 species have been recorded. It is a long term project that aims to show some changes with Climate Change. This Project was started by A. Botes and S.L. Chown in 2002 for Botes' PhD, and data has been collected by the CIB staff since 2005.
